Hi everyone! My name is Maya Barron and I’m a rising senior majoring in Data Science. I had such a great time managing the club’s socials this past year, so I am running for media chair again this year! I believe my qualities and experiences best align with this position as I am a very timely, organized, and hardworking individual, I have taken numerous photography and graphic design classes, and I just love taking and working with photos! I’ve worked hard this year to enhance the viewability and user experience of the website and keep it updated with upcoming meet info, past meet results, fundraising events, and a wider variety of resources for new and returning members alike. Between board meetings, RecWell meetings/leadership workshops, and closely working with my fellow board members, I feel that my experience on the board this past year has not only strengthed my knowledge of and ability to uphold the media chair duties, but has also prepared me to take on other roles for our club. I believe that my punctuality and thoroughness would be a great complement to any board position, but specifically, if I am not your top choice for media chair, I hope you’ll consider me for Vice President or Treasurer.
