Hey guys, I’m Laney! I am a sophomore majoring in Biology and Education and I would love to be your Competitive Sports Coordinator for the 2024-25 season! I started doing gymnastics in high school and it has been the biggest part of my life ever since. I was a captain my senior year, and I was in charge of team bonding events, equipment management, and helping to run meets. That same year, I started coaching– including all levels of Xcel and a high school team. While coaching, I have been in charge of numerous complex spreadsheets, communicating with parents, athletes, and judges and meet planning and coordination, among other things. This includes helping to run and organize a large high school gymnastics invitational much like our own Midwest Regionals. I am very organized, and I have a lot of experience with the kinds of competition logistics and leadership needed for a Competitive Sports Coordinator. I love this club and have been very involved this year, but I would love to have a bigger role next year! Thank you for your consideration!
